Reformer Masoud Pezeshkian’s greatest reform is his own beard

1 min read

Reformist Masoud Pezeshkian was elected the new president of Iran, defeating his strict conservative rival Saeed Jalili. It is stated that Masoud Pezeshkian is a reformist and his biggest reform after his election is said to be that women will be able to walk freely without headscarves, will not be under the control of the police and will not be beaten by the police.

When the word reformist is mentioned, one naturally thinks of whether there will be a reform of the regime, but there is no such thing. Masour Pezekshkian will not introduce a new regime to Iran, nor will he radically change the system. It will make it seem like there is a reform just to save from sanctions. It will be portrayed as a great reform for women to walk with their heads uncovered.

Let’s say it from the beginning: The biggest reform in Iran should be the destruction of the ayatollah system and its replacement with a more liberal and non-religious system. Any change other than this is just a deception and means deceiving not only the Iranian people but also the world.

By the way, the only reformist move that Masoud Pezeshkian has made is that he does not have a beard.
