Palestinians Should Also Mark October 7 to Condemn Hamas

Exactly 1 year has passed since Hamas’ attack on Israel. This year is being celebrated as a year of remembrance. In the attack launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023, nearly 1,500 Israeli citizens were killed and hundreds of Israelis were taken hostage.

Hamas, which started the war, was actually the most important actor in turning the Middle East into hell. This terrorist organization, which set out to save Palestinians, caused the deaths of nearly 50 thousand Palestinians at this point.

Israel may organize an event to keep its own pain fresh and to remind the world of the Hamas attack, but in fact, Palestinians have to organize a similar event and remember what Hamas did to the Palestinian people. Hamas attacks brought Palestine, Gaza and Lebanon to this state, and Palestinians should accept this day as a day of ‘cursing Hamas’ to remember.

Hamas was the first to kill 50 thousand Palestinians, then Israel continued. If Palestinians are going to look for those responsible, they should start with Hamas.
