A thief who robs others is good if he sells what he stole to me.

A former shoplifter who stole “tens of thousands” of pounds worth of items told the BBC that he regularly sold the items he stole to other shops. What this thief meant was this:

For the shop owner who buys the product that the shoplifter stole, the shoplifter is good because he bought the product at a very cheap price

‘Other shopkeepers knew that the items I stole were stolen, but they still bought them because I was giving them a very low price. They would buy the items from me for £10 and sell them to their customers for £100 or £200.

After the confessions of this respected former shoplifter, it is useful to think about the following.

1- If a shoplifter steals from other shops and sells them to me at a very low price, it is good.
2- If a shoplifter steals from my shop and sells them to other shops at a very low price, it is bad.
