Will Chancellor Rachel Reeves recover billions of pounds?

According to The Guardian, Chancellor Reeves will push the button on Covid corruption to take back billions in waste.
It is stated that the Chancellor believes that the £2.6 billion of public money lost to fraudsters during the epidemic can be compensated.

An investigation definitely needs to be made about some of the government members, perhaps ministers and public officials who were instrumental in reaching agreements, and some MPs who used Covid as an excuse during the pandemic. Is there any money going into the pockets of these public personnel and politicians from the billions of pounds given to vaccines, masks and other PPE devices using the pandemic as an excuse?

What was £2.6 billion paid for? Why was this money paid when the death toll from Covid reached 67 thousand? Could the best cause of corruption be the pandemic and Covid, for example? The then prime minister, Boris Johnson, and the health minister, Matt Hancock, should be specifically investigated.

For example, it was said that masks were purchased from Turkey during the pandemic, but would be returned because they did not meet the standards. Were those masks returned? Was the money refunded?

Reeves’ job is both difficult and easy.
