The UK finally came out of the recession: there were happy headlines in the newspapers when the growth rate was 0.6 percent. Just because the UK economy survived the recession.
Although it is promising, it is still important how the economy reflects on the public. Especially after the pandemic, the habits of a significant part of the public have completely changed. People who used to go to the streets, avenues, shopping places and restaurants do not go out unless necessary. They also do their shopping online or by delivery.
Meanwhile, the fact that cash transactions have largely disappeared and people shop with cards seems to have put an end to small tradesmen. Small tradesmen, who previously did not show the money they actually earned and therefore did not pay taxes, had to declare all their earnings because of Uber, JUsteat and others. This means that they do not evade taxes from the government.
