Veterans can die for the country, but they cannot vote for the country

Veterans may die or be disabled for the country, but they cannot vote for the country because their identity cards are not valid. According to the news published in The Guardian, veterans’ ID cards are not valid for the UK elections.
Minister Johnny Mercer said action would be taken to change the rules if a veteran was removed from the ballot box.

Someone fights for the state and dies or gets injured.
Someone directs the war.
Some people also gain political or financial benefit from the war.

Conclusion: Fighting for the country is not as important as voting for the country.
