Queen of Denmark Margrethe II sets a bad (!) example for other kings and queens

Queen Elizabeth II of Denmark Margrethe announced her surprise abdication in her New Year’s TV speech. She will abdicate on January 14, which will be 52 years since she became queen. It is a virtuous act to abdicate the throne voluntarily, even after 52 years of being a queen.

Kings and queens usually wait until death, but Queen Margrethe of Denmark showed virtue by leaving before her death.

If there is no other reason for this early abdication, the people of Denmark should be thankful that he will be replaced by someone younger than himself.

We hope that it will set a good example for other kings and queens who remain on the throne until their death.
