Salmond’s ‘tremendous contribution’ to Scottish and British politics continues to be praised.
Salmond was one of those politicians about whom not a single bad word was written or spoken. He was one of those political leaders who did not think of himself or his relatives and put his country first. Since he was not fed by the Scottish treasury and the party’s treasury like Nicola Sturgeon, he could not hold on to politics and left.
The sadness experienced upon Salmond’s death has some lessons to teach politicians.
1- If a politician works for his country, not for himself…
2- If he thinks of his country more than his pocket…
3- If he does not see his country and party as a career step, he is always a leader and remains a leader even after his death.
