Kemi Badenoch became the new leader of the Conservatives. The media didn’t talk much about her, but she took over the leadership by influencing party members. Badenoch is set to be one of the most colorful figures in UK politics as a black leader. The media mostly supported Robert Jenrick, but they didn’t get what they expected. They couldn’t influence party members.Right-wing media previously backed ReformUK and the Conservative Party
In her speech after the election, Badenoch said that the Conservatives needed ‘a clear plan to change this country by changing the way government works’.
What they say is true, parties need a clear plan. We understand this best from the Starmer government; they came to power but were like a bewildered duck. Because they didn’t have a plan.
The Conservatives also need a plan, but now Badenoch herself has to provide it. Since she is the head of the party, she had to have one or more plans.
What politicians do best: Talking with a plan, not producing a plan, unfortunately.
