The UK economy has not recovered from the recession. A new government was elected but it had no effect on the markets. The old bathroom, the old tap.
Many people, including us, expected some things to change immediately after the Conservatives left, but we have seen that the only thing that has changed is the government’s complaints. Starmer and other ministers who said they would save the country before the election are now constantly saying that they have inherited a wreck.
If the Starmer government continues to complain instead of doing anything, the economy will have no chance of getting better. There are thousands of businesses closing, unemployment is increasing. Food prices are constantly increasing, but the government is just complaining.
There is no chance of the UK growing under these conditions. In fact, we may even experience negative growth very soon. The Starmer government does not listen to any criticism, does not take it seriously. They do not have any great project in mind other than banning smoking outdoors. This project will make the economy worse instead of fixing it.
We should have seen at least a light at the end of the tunnel, but there is none.
