The Paris Olympics were opened outside of a big stadium for the first time and it was terrible. It was a complete nightmare for the audience and the only thing that remained in our minds was a faceless person walking around the roofs with a torch in their hand. The sound systems were completely terrible. Lady Gaga sang but no one heard what she said. It looked like someone was dancing by the river but there was no music. Those watching on TV only saw a dry crowd and were trying to make sense of what was on the screen.
First of all, it was stupid to have the opening during the day. Fireworks were constantly set off but it had no effect for the audience. There were even people singing arias and singing but no one could hear what they were saying on the screens.
Even Lady Gaga singing in French was stupid. There was only one person trying to dance anyway and we couldn’t even hear her singing. It is hard to understand why Lady Gaga preferred to appear with only one song at such a stupid opening.
The choreography may have been meticulously prepared but it was very distressing for the audience. That’s why there were very few people who watched the opening ceremony until the end.
The Paris Olympics went down in history as the Olympics with the most boring opening ceremony.
