1- Something strange started to happen in the country with the Starmer government. Some old and new politicians started talking as if the country had a security problem or was going to be invaded from abroad at any moment. In fact, former Prime Minister Starmer started this first. He made an election promise out of the blue that everyone who turned 18 would be drafted into the army and he lost.
2- Starmer came to power and the first thing he did was to make a security agreement with Germany. Then he went to Ukraine and made a 100-year agreement with Ukraine. Then he opposed Trump’s offer of peace in Ukraine and sided with the western leaders who did not want peace. Finally, one of the former defense ministers said that the army should be strengthened and money should be spent on defense.
3- Either there is actually a security threat or something we do not know is being planned. We do not know if we have much money to spend on defense in this economic crisis, but unfortunately, external threats are used in most countries to manage their people and most of the time to exploit them.
