Ukrainian President Zelensky fires air force chief after fatal crash of US-donated F-16 fighter jet
Mykola Oleshchuk’s removal is presumably linked to the pilot’s death and the loss of a newly delivered aircraft to Ukraine.
Zelensky’s logic is hard to understand. If he can fire the air force commander for the crash of a plane, he should also fire himself for the deaths of Ukrainian soldiers.
If the air force commander is responsible for the deaths of the pilots under his command, then Zelensky must also be held responsible for the deaths of soldiers in the Ukrainian army, of which he is the commander-in-chief.
We are anxiously awaiting when he will fire him.
