Government has changed but our hopelessness remains the same

1 min read

The government has changed but the economic situation has not changed. This time, one of the oldest stores in England is closing its doors. The remaining 31 Ted Baker stores in England are expected to close this week, putting the jobs of more than 500 people at risk.

At least 55 more people will lose their jobs, and 2,000 people and their families will be affected.

With each passing day, we are losing hope that the country will recover. We have gained some hope with Labour’s government, but there is still no news to give us hope.

Another 500 people will lose their jobs. Perhaps 2,000,000 people, including their families, will be affected by the closure of Ted Baker. Perhaps PM Starmer’s first job will be to bring back the hope that people have lost, but for this, a flare is needed. There is no plan yet to ignite that flare.

We will wait.
